The Guests only see the Magic! – Walt Disney

Walt Disney was well known for his passionate pursuit of excellence in customer service and providing the ultimate customer experience.  His commitment has been passed down, year after year, to everyone who works within the magic kingdom of Disney.  At the Disney World facilities in Florida there are many reminders of this legacy, chiseled granite for every employee to see – “The guests only see the magic.”

What do your guests or customers see and experience?  Is it magic – or something less than that?  In order to keep your existing customers and attract new customers you must treat them like guests and ensure a magical experience – every time.  In today’s competitive marketplace the difference between products, services and even pricing is getting smaller and smaller.  This means that customers will make their decisions more and more based on their experience or connection to people – you and your employees.

It is also true that customer loyalty is at an all-time low.  There are so many choices available to customers today.  Good enough no longer is!  Second best equals second-class, and as always – you never get a second chance to make a first impression.  The customer experience matters!

What would it take to provide your guests with a magical experience?  What needs to change?  What must you and/or your employees improve to create some magic in your customer experience and processes?  Remember, those who deal directly with your customers, on the phone, inside your business or at the customer’s location – they are the face of your business and will ultimately determine what kind of experience your customers have.

Treat your customers and clients like guests and be certain that every experience with you or your team is truly magic!
